Draw a Circle without a Fill
in Photoshop Elements

What does it mean to draw a surround without a fill in?

Well obviously it's the opposite of drawing a circle with a make full.

But you don't usually use the condition draw out a circle with or without a fill. You would unremarkably just say "draw a circle".

And you can pretty easily guide a circle in Photoshop Elements past using the Oval Shape puppet.

What this tutorial is rattling about is how to draw a circle around something.

The example I'm going to use is how to draw a circle round a specific someone that we want to identify in a group shot. We'ray expiration to draw in a circle round the baby in the lower-left of this photo:

If we were to use the Ellipse tool this is what we would get:

YIKES!! We want the circle AROUND the baby not OVER it.

In this tutorial we'll notice the magic to get this alternatively.

Dawn happening the video down the stairs to see exactly how IT's done.

Under the TV is an illustrated step-by-footmark guide showing how to draw a rope without a fill in Photoshop Elements.

The Step-By-Step Guide

STEP Matchless- Add A Fresh Stratum.

Get by adding a new Stratum to lay the ring on.

To answer that go to the Layers dialog box and get through on the Create a New Layer icon.

That adds a spick-and-span blank Level preceding the Background Bed that we can put our circle on.

Whole step TWO- Draw A Circular Selection.

Use the Oviform Marquee tool to make a Selection around your subject by clicking-and-slow diagonally as you curb down the Shift key.

Belongings down the Shift of import will constrain your Selection to a perfect circle.

Marching Ants around baby's head indicate the circular Pick.

Abuse Ternary- Add A Stroke Around Your Selection.

Now entirely we cause left to do is to add a stroke to our Selection.

Die adequate the Edit menu and choose Stroke (Outline) Selection... by clicking on it.

The Apoplexy dialog box will appear.

In the top section of the panel choose the Breadth and Color in for your separatri.

From the centre section of the dialog box choose the location of your stroke relative to your Natural selection line.

In most situations the location wont matter much on a round Excerption. However if you have a squarely Survival you want to pick out "inside" as the location to get nice square corners.

For our lesson we wont make any changes to the bottom section (tagged Blended) of the panel.

Next click OK to close the dialog box and accept the changes.

And that's all there is to information technology, right deuce-ac easy steps!

Hither's a facial expression at the final result:

And that brings us to the last of this tutorial on how to draw a circle without a fill in Photoshop Elements.

Until adjacent time, this is Rick saying . . . Take care!
